Dear Ingles Markets Executive,
Thanks again for chatting with me on Nov. 22, 2023, about our upgrades at #53 for managing Bulk Products.
Do you wonder, “Who is this Graham Rouse who says we can add hundreds of thousands in annual profits?”
Most relevant is probably my 30-plus-year career in the balloon decorating industry as an inventor, manufacturer, distributor, exhibitor, and teacher on five continents. That career featured my original tools and techniques.
In second place are my recent years working part-time at Ingles. Initially, I took 10 hours to do an 8-hour job on the fruit bar. Basic training got me down to 8 hours. Then, my innovations got me down to 6.5 hours before surgeries laid me up for 6 months. I returned to an open spot on Bulk Products. They were in a mess. My innovations now place us as one of Ingles’ best-looking and best-managed bulk product sections.
At 81, it is not my youth and stamina that make our results so successful. It is the tools, techniques, and systems that I developed and continue to improve. Any high school graduate at Ingles can manage them.
